First week exploring the southwest of the country, from Barahona almost to Padernales, then Jarabacoa, Santiago, Puerto Plata and the north coast. Second week in Las Terrenas with excursions to see whales, Los Haitises, Las Galeras and some beautiful, almost forgotten beaches. Pros: Diversity of scenery, magnificent vegetation and very welcoming Dominicans. Cons: Nothing really negative.
